Site Station
Welfare Unit Hire Ltd operate a large fleet of mobile ground lowering, road tow units called Site Stations.
The P430XD type Site Station has a gross weight of 1900kg which means the unit is well within the towing capacity of a 350 Transit, Sprinter, LDV etc and is therefore highly suited to transient workers as well as fixed construction sites.
These site stations are specified by us after consultation with you the operator, built to an "anti-vandal" specification outside and loaded with relevant features inside.
The "P" Series has retractable air suspension which enables the unit to be easily lowered to the groung, once lowered, the lights and towing gear are covered by steel security shrouds.
With a body length of 4.3 metres the site station has a similar footprint to a Transit Van, so no excuses operators, if you have room on site for a van, then you have the room for a 6-8 man compliant Welfare Unit.
The internal layout of the Site Station offers full H.S.E compliant site welfare facilities for 6 to 8 operators including:
Rest Area
With a large "plan sized" table and comfortable seating with under-seat P.P.E storage. Electric fan heater and overhead lighting, large opening windows, with security shutter (internal locking).
The rest area is also equipped with a “Silent Pack” which is an auxiliary battery powered heating and lighting system which allows the operators to use the heating and lighting without running the generator, thus enhancing operators breaks and helping to “keep the peace” when working in residential areas.
The silent pack also has a timer feature allowing the operator to set the heating to come on for up to 4 x 2 hour periods up to 7 x days in advance.
We are also able to offer a bottled water delivery service if required.
Galley Kitchen
Located away from the main doorway in order to avoid any kitchen mishaps, the galley is fitted with worktops , a microwave and grill, fast boil kettle, drinking water dispenser and a sink with cold water tap.
Drying Room
To the rear of the unit is located a drying room, this room is large enough for an operator to change out of wet or contaminated clothing and is fitted with substantial coat hooks, a generator powered fan heater and also an outlet from the “silent pack” heater, in order to dry operators clothing on site.
Toilet
Another rear door allows access to the toilet cubicle, within the cubicle is a flushing toilet and a “Full Arm” sink with on demand warm water along with soap dispensers, toilet roll and paper towels.
The paper towels supplied by us are the dissolving type which are simply placed in the toilet and flushed away, once the towels reach the holding tank they dissolve, so there is not even any need for a paper towel bin in the unit.
All these little bits of thought add to making the toilet environment a nicer place to visit.
Service/Cleaning
Included within our hire rate is a weekly toilet service where our courteous and fully trained operators will attend the unit, replenish the fresh water, take the waste away and sanitise the entire cubicle.
This service is carried out by our own staff and not subcontracted out to another party.
A range of skin / care protection systems are also available on request.
